Locating Environmental, Crime, Population and Disease info

Search Global Road Warrior and NewsBank for environmental information

In Global Road Warrior 

  • Select a country from the list or map.
  • Click on Country Facts then Geography 
  • Click on Climate 

In NewsBank:

  • Use the advanced search options. Use the drop-down menu to select Lead/first paragraph in the search text field.
  • Search Environment and your country.  For example Environment and China.

 

 

Search Global Road Warrior and NewsBank for crime information.

In Global Road Warrior :

  • Select a country from the list or map
  • Click on Security Briefing
  • Click on Crime, Local laws, Security Assessment

In NewsBank:

  • Use the advanced search options. Use the drop-down menu to select Lead/first paragraph in the search text field.
  • Search Crime and your country.  For example Crime and China.

Search Global Road Warrior and NewsBank for population information.

In Global Road Warrior :

  • Select a country from the list or map.
  • Click on Country Facts then the People area. Scroll to the population data

In NewsBank:

  • Use the advanced search options. Use the drop-down menu to select Lead/first paragraph in the search text field.
  • Search Population and your country.  For example Population and China.

Search Global Road Warrior, NewsBank, and World Health Organization for disease information.

In Global Road Warrior 

  • Select a country from the list or map 
  • Click on Health & Medical
  • Click on Disease Risk & Prevention or Health Care System or Insurance

In NewsBank:

  • Use the advanced search options. Use the drop-down menu to select Lead/first paragraph in the search text field.
  • Search Disease and your country.  For example Disease and China.

In World Health Organization:

  • Click on Countries in the Blue Toolbar
  • Select your assigned country.
  •  Look at Country Health Profile.
