Kanopy Streaming Videos

Here's how to log in to Kanopy to see what videos are available through the library if you click on the link to the Kanopy video database (as opposed to a direct link to the video - see the box below for instructions on accessing a video if you have the direct link):

1. you will see an orange button to "visit the Franklin collection." Click on the button;
2. on the next page you will see an orange button that says "log in to Franklin." Click on the button; 
3. A window will pop up asking for your Franklin University login credentials. Enter the username and password you normally use to log in to library resources;
4. you will see a screen listing all videos the library licenses;
5. if the video is on the list:
   1. hover over a video and click on the orange "see more" button;
   2. click on the play button to watch the video;
6. if the video is not on the list:
   1. use the search bar at the top of the page to search for the video;
   2. follow the instructions on our request a Kanopy video page to ask the library to license the video.

Here's how to watch a Kanopy video when you have a direct link -- either from within a course or from this guide's page listing the library's Kanopy videos:

1. Click on the link for the video;
2. You will see a screen with an orange button that says "watch now." Click on the button
3. On the next page you will see an orange button that says "log in to Franklin." Click on the button; 
4. A window will pop up asking for your Franklin University login credentials. Enter the username and password you normally use to log in to library resources.

After you log in, you will see the video's home page on Kanopy. Click on the play button to watch the video.
