QuickSearch is our new integrated library search system. It allows you to search across Franklin, OhioLINK, and licensed digital resources in one place, replacing OneSearch, the Franklin library catalog, Journal Finder, OhioLINK interface, and multiple disconnected search tools.
August 11, 2025. QuickSearch will officially launch and replace all previous catalog systems on this date.
This upgrade simplifies search, expands resource access, and improves user experience. This is a transition Franklin is making alongside all institutions in the OhioLINK Consortium.
The current library catalog will be retired during this transition. You will be able to search, view, and place a hold on a print book owned by Franklin in QuickSearch.
OneSearch will be retired along with the library catalog as part of this migration. QuickSearch, as an integrated platform, provides all the functionality of OneSearch and more.
What is happening to Journal Finder?
The Journal Finder will be incorporated into QuickSearch for a more fluid search experience. You will continue to be able to search by title, subject (category), or ISSN.
How do I access saved articles in my EBSCO account?
You can still access your EBSCO account and saved articles through any EBSCO database such as Business Source Complete or CINAHL Plus with Full Text. Individual databases can be accessed from our Databases page.
There are two ways you can sign in to your library account.

Why should I sign in?
When you sign in to your library account you will have access to additional features including:
On August 11, 2025, the Franklin University library will go live with a brand-new system including the library catalog and QuickSearch (formerly OneSearch). Here is what will stay the same and what will change with this upgrade.

Faster Searching: You can save time by searching nearly all of the library’s collections or make a request from another OhioLINK library in one simple search.
Easier Discovery: You can uncover resources through virtual title browsing and citation trails, and you can find open access and peer reviewed resources more easily.
Personalized Search Experience: You can log in to save your favorite searches, mark items for later use, and easily export records to citation management systems.
Mobile-friendly: The new user interface allows researchers to perform all functions using their mobile devices.
Many of the features that you have come to count on will still be available. Some of what has stuck around includes:
E-Resource Access: You can still access 400+ electronic databases and millions of electronic books and journals.
Borrowing Physical Items: The ability to place a hold on print items, request items from other OhioLINK institutions, and interlibrary loan are still available.
Permalinks: You can still use these links to go back and retrieve research easily.
Search Limiters: The ability to narrow search results by date, format, location, and more is still available.
